Freudian Slip-Road

Last night I had a horrible dream.

In the dream I was exploring a Californian beach on a motorcycle. At the beach I met a pirate who gave me a lot of rum, which he was smuggling. Drunk, I left the beach on my motorcycle.

The next thing I knew I was approaching a round-a-bout. These junctions don't exist in Los Angeles and I was scared, especially as it was going the wrong way round. I panicked and fell off the motorbike. After regaining my composure I went round the round-a-bout and pulled up at a roadside kiosk, relieved to be in one piece.

The woman at the counter then asked me to blow into a breathalyser- she was an undercover cop! Knowing I was about to be caught DUI I awoke in a cold sweat, terrified.

What does it all mean!!?!

It means that you really miss the round-abouts in the UK. 4 way stops just don't cut the mustard. A trip to the magic round-about in Swindon, anyone?

I have searched for days to try and understand the meaning of this dream and can only assume that eating raw fish in a sushi bar followed by a plate of mushrooms probably contributed to this "tour de force" of a dream.

It is very un-american dream - Rum is from the Carribean, roundabouts are so English and all the best Pirates never harboured in American ports. From a Freudian perspective the only sexual conotation seems to revolve around the woman in the dream wanting Ian to blow something!

Talking of Mushrooms I had a friend who had 3 wives all of whom died.
How tragic I hear you all say. How did they die?

The first 2 died of food posioning. The third died to a blow to the head with a shovel.

She would not eat her mushrooms!!!
